Dr. Bärbel Birnstengel is working as senior project manager for the market area of Waste Management and Secondary Raw Materials at Prognos AG.

She focuses her work on European wide waste market analyses, strategies for the opening of new markets, competition analyses, SWOT analyses as well as market & commercial due diligence for private and communal clients. The same is true for projections of future developments. Given her language skills (Czech, Slovak, Polish, and Russian), Dr. Birnstengel has special competence with respect to (market) analyses in Central and Eastern Europe.

In addition, she is a certified auditor for quality management systems according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 and gives advice in organizational issues and process optimization.
