Dr Jan-Philipp Kramer heads the Brussels office of Prognos AG and is responsible for the Competence Centre EU Services. His responsibility encompasses all solutions offered by Prognos AG for customers with European issues.
His personal consulting focuses on the topics of European funding policy (including European Structural and Investment Funds, promotion of innovation, financial instruments), strategy development and evaluation of funding programmes. In addition, he supports clients in important transformation issues for economic development, such as the digital transformation or the circular economy.
Clients of Dr Kramer include the European Commission (including DG REGIO, DG RTD, JRC), European associations and the European Parliament, as well as national and regional ministries in Germany and beyond.
Dr Jan-Philipp Kramer is an economic geographer and holds a PhD on open innovation and the role of multinational enterprises for the innovation capacity of regions from Leibniz University Hannover and the University of California at Berkeley. After his time as a research associate, he moved to Prognos AG in Düsseldorf in 2011 until starting in 2016 to head the EU office in Brussels.
