A filled pencil case, a basketball, a towel, a winter sleeping bag – more than 70 Christmas wishes of socially disadvantaged people were made to come true by our employees in Berlin and Düsseldorf in Advent 2021. The wishes were passed on to them by the Diakonie Düsseldorf, which, as part of the Wunschbaum campaign, encourages companies to fulfill Christmas wishes. In Düsseldorf, wish cards quickly started to be taken down from the tree and were gradually replaced by packages. The colleagues at the Berlin location liked the wish tree idea so much that a wish tree with wish cards was set up there too. Up to a week before Christmas, another 20 children’s wishes could be fulfilled there together with ARCHE in Berlin-Friedrichshain. The packages, which the employees collected under a wooden Christmas tree, have now made their way to the children. The trees now patiently await next year when they will once again be decorated with wish cards and gifts.
