Datum 2021-06-15 Together with COWI and CEPS, Prognos analysed Europe's position and competitiveness in global value chains in the field of renewable energies. On behalf of DG Energy, the study "EU's Global Leadership in Renewables" focused on two central questions: What are the key countries, key markets and key activities in the global renewable energy supply chain? What policies would best support the industrial competitiveness of the European renewable energy industry, and its added value to the EU economy and society? On 15 June 2021, the project team will present the most important results of the study in a final online workshop. Together with representatives of the project partners, Jannis Lambert will discuss the results with experts from industry and institutions. In detail, the workshop will look at these aspects: The economic impacts of EU renewable energy’s value chain and their competitiveness The socio-economic impact of EU policies of promoting renewables within the EU and globally.
