Prognos regularly delivers important facts about the developing demographic and pension situation. For the German Insurance Association, Prognos has recently conducted a number of studies, including studies examining the development of the statutory pension for typified insured persons at their place of residence, the potential for a longer working life, and the achievement of pension reforms in 2000.
The DGB also relies on Prognos' expertise to investigate the long-term effects of model-supported reform ideas (not public).
Together with the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology Prognos carried out two analyses: For the INSM (New Social Market Economy Initiative), public budgets underwent a demographic check up to 2040.
For the Federal Ministry of Finance the impact of demographic change on state tax revenues was examined.
The magazine Der Spiegel used Prognos’ forecasts to inform its readers about pension policies and to analyse reform proposals put forward by politicians. Read more
