Innovative work organisation and new skills: A Prognos study commissioned by the Bertelsmann Stiftung shows which strategies could make the nursing profession more attractive and help close the skills gap.
Which strategies can be used to tackle the shortage of skilled workers in nursing care for the elderly?
This question is the subject of a Prognos study commissioned by the Bertelsmann Stiftung. The study was based on extensive literature research and in-depth expert surveys.
Prognos experts concluded that in this field of work not only more personnel and higher salaries are needed, as has been publicly discussed, but above all better working conditions. A better work-life balance could be facilitated by, among other things, more flexible work schedule models.
