Our growing EU-Services in Brussels team provides research, evaluation, and impact assessments predominantly to the European Commission (e.g. DG GROW, DG CNECT, DG RTD) and its agencies (e.g. EASME) but also to other European and German clients. We are looking for a 

Project Manager (m/f/d) 

placed in Brussels. You will support our Business Unit Economy | Innovation | Region in the following fields:

  • Analysis of European and national SME policies/instruments (e.g. COSME, SME Instrument)
  • Analysis of technological trends and new innovations (e.g. on KETs, artificial intelligence) 
  • Evaluations and impact assessments of EU and national funding policies/programmes 
  • Development of personal focus areas in emerging consulting fields (e.g. digital transformation, circular economy) and related client portfolios. 

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of accurate, timely, and high-quality products and services to our clients. This includes steering and developing research and evaluation methods, performing quantitative and qualitative data analysis, guiding/writing reports and providing presentations to support policy decisions by our clients. You will be typically involved in multiple projects, many of whom you will independently manage with a team of experts from the various Prognos offices, primarily Brussels. A key task will also be the acquisition of new projects with EU clients (e.g. DG GROW, DG CNECT) and representing Prognos in relevant expert communities in Brussels. You hold a graduate degree (PhD of advantage) in economics, public policy, economic geography or related disciplines and have gained professional experience in policy consulting and/or research on international levels for several years. You have built up a first network among clients and collaborators in the above-mentioned consulting fields and are open to explore and develop new fields of expertise. You have excellent verbal and writing skills in English and German; additional European languages would be advantageous. We are looking for a team player with a positive work ethic and a pro-active ‘can do’ attitude. You must be able to manage a varied workload of deadlines without compromising quality and lead project teams at the various Prognos offices. You can win other people with your positive attitude in a convincing and self-confident manner.
