Recognising risks and opportunities early for forward-looking action.

Changes and upheavals are usually announced in advance. But evidence of these changes is often vague, fragmented, or non-specific. Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies enable us to identify information earlier and estimate the probabilities of future events.

Prognos monitors technologies, companies, markets, and trade flows. To this end, we record patterns and relationships on the web, in publications, or in patent specifications. We work with large-language models and others, with natural language processing technologies, enabling us to link information from texts with a variety of other established information such as price and trade data. Finally, machine-learning models for risk and opportunity assessment are a focus of our work.

Prognos pays particular attention to the connection between human and artificial intelligence. We validate and evaluate the plausibility of findings from AI and machine learning. As a result, we demonstrate clearly understandable causal relationships.
