Christian Böllhoff studied economics and business administration at the LMU in Munich. This was followed by positions at the Treuhandanstalt, Bosch-Siemens-Hausgeräte and Gemini Consulting. Since 2000, Christian Böllhoff has worked for the Georg von Holtzbrinck publishing group in various management positions, including managing director of the Handelsblatt. In 2003, he was appointed CEO of Prognos AG in Basel. Christian Böllhoff is also a member of the economic committee of the Berlin Chamber of Industry and Commerce and is involved in several supervisory boards.
Böllhoff lives in Berlin and Basel, is married, has two sons and describes himself as a bit old-fashioned, because he still reads three newspapers a day.
