Award: Best Management Consultants 2026

For the 13th consecutive year, Statista and brand eins magazine have recognised outstanding consulting firms in Germany – and Prognos is once again among them in 2026. In the Public Sector & Infrastructure category, we remain one of the country’s leading consulting firms. This means we are ranked among the top 275 consulting firms in a market comprising around 20,000 companies in Germany.

This renewed recognition sends an important signal: it demonstrates the trust that the industry and clients place in our work – particularly in times of profound change in government, the economy and society.

How the ranking is compiled

The brand eins and Statista rankings are based on a two-stage process:

1. Industry survey: Employee recommendations

Managers and specialists from the consultancy sector are personally invited to submit their recommendations – unsolicited and openly, without any guidelines. For the 2026 edition, several thousand industry representatives were contacted once again.

2. Client evaluation: Clients’ experiences

This is followed by an online survey with clients: senior executives from companies of all sizes, supplemented by decision-makers from DAX, M-DAX, S-DAX and TecDAX companies. They evaluate the consultancy firms based on their own project experiences.

This dual perspective – industry assessment combined with client evaluations – makes the ranking particularly meaningful.
