„Fun was had by all, pedalling for a good cause.“ Project Manager Mobility & Transport, and participant in the City Cycling Campain We did it: Over 21 days, 33 colleagues covered a total of 5.721 km by bicycle. As part of the City Cycling Campain, they took the climate-friendly option and covered as many routes as possible by bike – whether it was travelling to work, going shopping, taking a trip to the countryside, or for sport – and either wrote down their kilometres or collected them via an app. Image Prognos AG Image Prognos AG Image Prognos AG Cycling for a good cause Prognos also committed to donating 10 cents per kilometre cycled to a non-profit, bicycle-related cause. Our goal: 500 euros or 5,000 km. This gave the cyclists an additional incentive and by the end there was more than 700 km on the dial. The donation went to GESUfit Berlin. This association is committed to providing people with mental and/or physical impairments with the opportunity to learn to ride a bike or to improve their cycling skills. Their focus is on increasing independent mobility and thus autonomy, working in small groups, under the guidance of experienced trainers. The donation will go to the aid campaign to raising money to replace a stolen van. The van contained adapted tricycles, hand bikes, scooters, and normal bikes, worth around 10.000€. We are pleased to have been able to make a small contribution to this cause. Prognos actively promotes cycling Some of the colleagues who took part in the City Cycling Campaign were on the road with their work bikes. Through a partnership with the provider Jobrad, Prognos employees can lease a new bicycle via the company. This means that joint trips or participation in cycling events are par for the course – but it is of course also possible to participate with their own bikes.
