Whether printing jute bags, designing memes, cracking democracy quiz questions or trying out VR glasses – at Berlin Democracy Day, associations, initiatives, NGOs, schools and companies presented their work and engaged in conversation with guests.Prognos actively supported the participatory festival in Berlin-Kreuzberg with a team of ten volunteers. On the initiative of project manager and idea generator Felicitas Klemp, the team was at Prognos’ own participatory stand and helped with face painting, manning the information stand and directing vehicles at the entrance to the grounds. We played the “Game of Regions” and discussed the future in our guests’ hometowns, talking about prosperity and social conditions, work, demographics, competition and innovation, among other things. We spent an entire Sunday discussing how we live together – with people of all ages and from a wide variety of backgrounds. In addition to Prognos, other participants included Doctors Without Borders, Capgemini, the Berlin State Agency for Civic Education, Omas for Future, the Neukölln Children and Youth Parliament, Zweitzeugen, the mobile citizens’ office, the Berlin Basic Education Foundation and many more.
