They distributed the technical equipment collected by employees to families not adequately equipped to enable lessons at home (home schooling). With the donations, we can make it easier for at least a few children and young people to participate in online schooling, because many schools now assume that parents are set up for digital learning. Donations were collected in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Freiburg, and Munich. In Düsseldorf, a portion of the computers and monitors were also donated to a diaconal institution and the funding association of a primary school – also for families in need. Since there is no Arche in the immediate vicinity in Freiburg, the PC donations there went to the ChaosComputerClub. The fundraising campaign was initiated by our colleague Charlotte Frank and supported by various employees at the Prognos local offices. Our IT team made the lion’s share of the donations and refreshed and set up the computers for new use – great! More information about our social commitment can be found here Do you have questions?
