Daniel Gehrt is a senior project manager in the field of economy and innovation in Berlin. With his EU-oriented profile and his more than 10 years of professional experience in Brussels, he is also closely linked to the Brussels office. The focus of his work is on the analysis of research and innovation policies, both at national and EU level. He is particularly interested in the interface between innovation policy and sustainability transformation. Among other things, he leads various studies on behalf of the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD) of the European Commission and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

Daniel Gehrt has more than 12 years of experience in public sector consulting. His original academic background is in European Studies and International Relations, with degrees from Trinity College Dublin and King's College London. In addition, he has completed various further training courses in the field of evaluation methods and data science.
