Dr Jan-Philipp Kramer is the head of Prognos AG's Brussels office and is also responsible for the EU Services Competence Centre. His area of responsibility thus includes all Prognos AG solutions for clients with EU-related matters.

His focus is on European funding policy (e.g. European Structural and Investment Funds, innovation funding, financial instruments), strategy development and evaluation of funding programmes. In addition, he supports clients in important transformation topics for economic development, such as digitalisation or the circular economy. Dr Kramer's clients include the European Commission (DG REGIO, DG RTD, among others), European associations and the European Parliament as well as national and regional ministries in Germany.

Dr Jan-Philipp Kramer is an economic geographer and did his doctorate at Leibniz University Hannover and the University of California at Berkeley on open innovation and the role of large companies for the innovative power of regions. After his time as a research assistant, he moved to Prognos AG's Düsseldorf office in 2011 until he took over as head of the EU office in Brussels in 2016.
