Datum 2023-02-09 Location Dortmund On 9 February 2023, Lukas Eiserbeck will participate in the conference "Evolving23. Climate Adaptation in Rural Areas - Moving into Implementation". The project deals with the development and implementation of climate adaptation measures in local action. Prognos is partner of the research project since 2019, developing concepts for a total of nine regions and supporting it through activity monitoring. The conference will bring together actors from the project, companions and interested parties. The focus of the event will be on • a review of what has been achieved so far in the project • the transferability of results and methods, and • the implementation of concrete climate adaptation measures. The programme offers various keynote speeches, including one by NRW Environment Minister Oliver Krischer, insights into regional processes, a panel discussion and five breakout sessions. In these sessions, participants will discuss various aspects of climate adaptation with experts. Together with Dr. Andrea Fischer-Hotzel (Difu/ Zentrum KlimaAnpassung) and a representative of the NRW.Bank, Lukas Eiserbeck will lead Session 3 "Financing climate adaptation measures". They will show which funding options and instruments are available for the implementation of climate adaptation measures and how to keep track of them. They will also provide practical tips and explain how a defined investment roadmap facilitates the path from idea to implementation. The event will take place at the Sparkassenakademie NRW at Lake Phoenix in Dortmund.
