The next Just Transition Platform Meeting will take place on 10-12 May. The event will address the reinforced role of cohesion policy and its contribution to accelerating the climate transition and impacts on EU energy security and economy. Sessions will address the just transition challenges of coal, peat, oil shale and carbon-intensive regions as well as spotlight the role of youth in this process.
Dr Jan-Philipp Kramer is participating in the following formats:
- Getting started! JTP Working Groups: scope and engagement
- Circular economy: opportunities for JFT regions
The Just Transition Fund (JTF) will support the EU regions most affected by the transition to a climate-neutral economy, with the aim of diversifying and modernising their economy. This should be in line with the endogenous potential and capabilities of territories. To receive support from the JTF, each region is preparing a Territorial Just Transition Plan (TJTP) to outline the key priorities and strategic actions.
