Support for impact measurement by Zweitzeugen e. V.

Five of our colleagues supported the association’s work throughout 2025 by providing pro bono assistance in measuring the impact of its activities using Prognos methods.

How effective are the educational programmes offered by Zweitzeugen e. V.?

The Prognos team reviewed:

• the survey instruments used in three online surveys aimed at children, young people and adults, and
• the entire data evaluation process, including the potential for (automated) in-depth data analysis.

Andreas Brutsche, Gwendolyn Huschik, Nina Altmann, Stefan Moog and Ulrich Weuthen from various Prognos teams were working together on this project on a voluntary basis.

The first step was a kick-off meeting in which the Prognos team and Zweitzeugen e. V. jointly agreed on the goals and milestones of the project.

We are becoming second witnesses

Second witnesses are not strangers to Prognos. We already know each other from #PrognosMeets, our internal, digital think-outside-the-box meeting. In March 2023, Ksenia Eroshina, head of educational work at the association, informed us about Zweitzeugen’s background, experiences and activities.

We are particularly pleased that Prognos became a Zweitzeugen company. In 2025, eyewitness workshops were planned, where interested employees learned about the biographies of Holocaust survivors. This turns us into ambassadors against anti-Semitism and all other forms of discrimination.

Who is Zweitzeugen e. V.?

The association encourages and empowers (young) people to become second witnesses themselves by passing on the stories of Holocaust survivors and to take a stand against anti-Semitism and other forms of discrimination today. The second witnesses talk to eyewitnesses of the Holocaust, document their stories and pass them on to young people in publications, exhibitions, events, (online) lectures and workshops.
