„Planting a tree is pure sustainability.“ Jutta Struwe In the winter of 2021/2022, Prognos AG took part in a neighbourhood initiative in the vicinity of the Berlin office, by contributing to two trees. Prognos participated in a tree donation campaign in Berlin. City trees are among the big losers of climate change. But Berlin, suffering from the consequences of several years of drought and increasing construction levels, needs its trees more than ever before as givers of shade, green lungs, and air conditioners. To make matters worse, numerous trees have also been felled in the vicinity of the Berlin Prognos office in recent years. This is the reason a local resident initiated a tree donation campaign. Prognos gladly supported the campaign and took on the so-called citizen’s share of 500 euros each. In January 2022, two winter linden trees were planted at the renowned Savignyplatz, in City West. In February 2023, a plane tree was added at Hardenbergplatz. By participating, we are also committing to our environmental responsibility. A nice coincidence: One of the trees stands close to one of our favourite restaurants, where Prognos welcomes new employees every year.
