Where is the best place to live in Germany? Prognos investigated this question on behalf of ZDFzeit. The goal: to measure living conditions in Germany in such a way that all 401 districts and independent cities could be directly compared with one another. This comparison was achieved through the scientific evaluation of statistical data available individually for all 401 regions.

ZDF exclusively published this study of German regions. The ranking of all 401 districts and independent cities, as well as all partial result and the 45-minute ZDF documentary about the study, can be found here (in German):
