Panel discussion: An EU-wide landfill ban on untreated municipal waste

On 23 March, a panel discussion will take place at the Representation of the State of Lower Saxony to the European Union in Brussels. The event will discuss the question whether an EU-wide landfill ban for untreated municipal waste is an urgently needed measure for climate and resource protection. Dr Bärbel Birnstengel will give a keynote speech, addressing the results of a Prognos study on the CO₂ reduction potential of the European waste management sector. Afterwards, she will speak on the panel with representatives of EU institutions and businesses. The event is organized by the Bundesverband der Deutschen Entsorgungs-, Wasser- und Kreislaufwirtschaft e. V. (BDE).
