Pillar 1 of the Talent Booster Mechanism has delivered strong early results for eleven EU regions facing demographic decline and skills shortages. Over the past 16 months, the Harnessing Talent Platform Secretariat – lead by Prognos – supported these regions in developing tailored strategies to attract, train and retain talent. More than 200 local stakeholders took part in assessments, co-creation workshops and strategic planning.Initiatives for talent promotion and innovation development in EuropeThese are the first concrete outcomes of the support programme: a new Talent Observatory in Alentejo (Portugal), a graduate-motivation survey in Łódzkie (Poland), a roadmap for an innovation office in Peloponnese (Greece), and talent-return initiatives in Yugoiztochen (Bulgaria) and Moravia-Silesia (Czech Republic). Each region has developed a strategic roadmap outlining priorities for improving talent management, strengthening innovation capacity and enhancing regional attractiveness. The pilot shows that targeted, place-based action can help regions build resilient communities and economies. To the report of Pillar 1More information about the Harnessing Talent Platform Our work in the project Do you have questions?
