Guidelines: With Sustainable Governance to successful sustainability reporting
Industry association
2024
The increasing demands on sustainability reporting, particularly in the context of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), require companies to have a structured sustainability management system. This includes anchoring sustainability in corporate organisation and processes. By implementing sustainable corporate governance, companies can manage sustainability and thus meet the growing challenges.
We have written a practical guide for an industry association on establishing sustainable corporate governance as a central component of successful CSRD implementation.
The guide first explains the term sustainable governance and categorises it. This is followed by an overview of the interplay between CSRD and sustainable governance. The various dimensions in which sustainable governance plays a role are then analysed in more detail. These include, among others:
The guide ends with concrete steps and recommendations for action for companies.
The guide provides information that can be linked to the two other guides (materiality analysis and data management in the context of CSRD). The finished guide will be published on the industry association's website and can be viewed and downloaded by member companies. Member companies will also be offered an online webinar on the results of the guidelines.
