Which technological developments will become reality in the coming years? What opportunities and risks are involved for companies and citizens? The Foresight III process develops strategic perspectives providing guidance for politics, society, and the economy.
Prognos assumes the role of Future Office of the 3rd Foresight process on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) together with project partner Z_punkt. The Future Office’s task was to systematically identify trends and topics that could be of importance in the future. The analyses were based on scientific methods and participatory processes. In addition, the Future Office conducted in-depth studies on selected topics. The results of the studies provided guidance for policy and citizens about possible futures.
For the strategic forecast (Foresight III), the BMBF has also appointed a future circle consisting of foresight experts and acknowledged professionals from science, business, and society. The Future Office supports this circle and acts as a driving force and facilitator.
