In addition to the purely quantitative analysis, the regional distribution and qualitative aspects of the employment effects were also determined. Furthermore, based on the results obtained, a first outlook was derived on possible recommendations for a socially acceptable structural change. For the description of future development particular reference was made to the scenario work “Klimapfade für Deutschland” (Climate Paths for Germany), on behalf of the Federal Association of German Industry (BDI) (BCG / Prognos 2018).
